Motera Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium has finally completed its construction work and is ready to host several cricket matches. As you all must be knowing that the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald J. Trump is on his India visit currently with the first lady, Melania Trump and they both were invited by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to host a special event in the stadium.

The Namaste Trump event at the stadium was a blockbuster one and here was the first glimpse of the stadium witnessed by not only Indians and Americans but people across the globe as it was a very big event connecting two powerful democracies of the world.
The original name of this stadium is Sardar Patel Stadium but it is also called Motera stadium as it is located in the Motera area of Ahmedabad. It has a seating capacity of 1,10,000 which is really huge. Earlier, Melbourne cricket ground was the biggest stadium with a seating capacity of 100,024.

The newly built stadium will be having many world-class facilities which include a gymnasium, a clubhouse with 55 rooms, a big swimming pool and much more. There are 76 corporate boxes, each has the seating arrangement for 25 people. The stadium-size is vast and is spread across 63 acres.
The old stadium was constructed in the year 1982 and the seating capacity was 49,000. In 2016, its renovation started and it took almost 3 years to complete the whole construction. Construction was done by Larsen & Toubro company in the guidance of Populous, the architecture company of the USA. The overall cost for this renovation is approximately $102 million.

This newly built stadium will be a host of several amazing cricket matches for sure. It is announced that the 2023 cricket world cup will be hosted by India so it is pretty confirmed that the final match will be hosted at this amazing stadium.
